Powersmiths K-Star 15-750 kVA Transformer

The standard K-Star configuration is the accepted replacement for the delta-wye transformer to feed modern office equipment. Several design improvements make the K-Star unique, including the treatment of the 3rd harmonic in the secondary winding, and 98% efficiency under nonlinear loads. These render standard delta-wye and k-rated transformers obsolete.
The factory-installed options such as noise filtering and Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) option provides additional protection for sensitive equipment while eliminating associated field installation costs if providing this separately. 25-year warranty available. |
Powersmiths T1000-C2 Harmonic Cancellation Transformer

Application of these transformers facilitates compliance with IEEE-519 in commercial and industrial facilities. The T1000 treats the 3rd harmonic through secondary flux cancellation. Unlike delta-wye transformers, in the T1000, 3rd and other zero sequence currents do not couple into the primary winding. 5th and 7th harmonics are treated on a system basis by alternating phase shifted models in a facility.
When savings are on the table, performance needs to be proven. Powersmiths is the only manufacturer to production test transformers under ISO 9001 with actual computer power supply loading, and with revenue class accuracy. Data can be provided for individual units by selecting the ‘NLT’ option. Powersmiths Harmonic Conditioners are 3-phase common-core copper-wound dry-type transformers or autotransformers that are built to NEMA ST-20 and other applicable ANSI and IEEE standards.
In 3 phase systems, harmonic conditioners are designed to treat 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th harmonics. There are a wide range of configurations available to match just about every application, including ISO, AUTO and UNIVERSAL. Common applications include telecom, internet, and industrial equipment. These can also have built-in surge protection and engineering application support. |
Powersmiths N1000 Energy Efficient Transformer

The N1000 is an energy efficient 3-phase autotransformer. It’s parallel connection features means that most installations do not require a system shut off. It features a compact design with benefits to include system voltage distortion, phase current imbalance, and transformer loss reduction – all with minimal space requirements.
The N1000′s parallel connection enables easy and non-disruptive installation with, in most cases, no need for system shutdown. Optional is the Voltage Surge Suppression, which is supplied by Powersmiths Pro Series TVSS. |
Powersmiths Cyberhawk Meter

Cyberhawk makes measuring transformer and electrical system efficiency more user friendly. The quality metering platform features “touch screen” capability and includes a WEB server to remotely access information through a standard Windows browser.

The Powersmiths Rotatable IR (Infrared) Viewing Port was designed to eliminate the electrical hazards of non-invasive thermographic imaging of live equipment.
Under new legislations persons exposed to live electrical equipment must follow strict working conditions while wearing costly specialized protective equipment. The Rotatable IR Viewing Port provides a way to thermal-scan interior surfaces without opening the enclosure. The rotatable port provides a larger viewing area than other fixed equipment. |

The K-Star-D is an advanced multiple-output harmonic cancellation transformer. It delivers the cleanest voltage to critical equipment while improving reliability by reducing downtime and equipment failures.
The configurations treat the 3rd harmonic in the secondary wiring and the 5th and 7th are treated on a point of use basis. Additional features include: electrostatic shielding, primary to secondary phaseshift, integrated surge protection and a third or fourth output to connect additional loads and treat additional higher order harmonic currents shared among the outputs. |
